Summary

Randomised 4-arm rabbit collagenase-OA study (n=32) showing that intra-articular AOD9604 alone and combined with hyaluronic acid reduced cartilage-degeneration scores and lameness compared with saline; the AOD9604+HA combination outperformed either monotherapy in histology and lameness.

Limitations

Small preclinical rabbit model (32 animals, ~8 per arm); short follow-up (8 weeks); blinding of assessors not described in abstract (uncertainty, not a positive blinding defect); single-centre; no long-term joint safety data. No commercial-COI signal in abstract.
