Summary

Open-label 8-week study in 20 post-bariatric-hypoglycaemia patients (14 completed) found that subcutaneous pramlintide did NOT reduce glucose excursions, insulin/glucagon responses, satiety scores, dumping scores, or hypoglycaemic-episode frequency. A negative efficacy finding in an off-label indication.

Limitations

Small n=20 (14 completers); open-label single-arm; no placebo; high inter-individual variability; off-label indication.
