Summary
In-vitro fibroblast and ex-vivo skin study (Jiang et al. 2023) reporting that GHK-Cu combined with low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid at a 1:9 ratio increases collagen IV expression 25.4× in cells and 2.03× in ex-vivo skin versus controls, and that GHK-Cu and HA together enhance collagen I / IV / VII more than either alone.
Limitations
Declared COI / funding signal (SEPARATE from methodological RoB): both listed author affiliations are commercial cosmetics-ingredient companies (Bloomage Biotechnology; Zhejiang Peptites Biotech Co.). Methodological limitations (SEPARATE from COI): no in-vivo human data; no clinical outcome; readout limited to qRT-PCR + immunofluorescence (no protein-level or barrier-function assay); no reported blinding of the immunofluorescence quantification; replicate counts and statistical detail not in abstract.
